This seems to be exclusively designed to prevent people from streaming Hatred. Wich doesn't make sense to me because as far as I know they already had the ability to ban certain games, if they didn't want hatred on twitch why not just ban it specifically? I guess they wanted to avoid the shitstorm by not calling names?

That's uncool

“Previously, we made game-specific decisions about which games would and would not be available for broadcast – sometimes due to overtly sexual content, sometimes due to Gratuitous Violence.”

Please, I wouldn't qualify showing a girl in underwear in a game as overly sexual content (Huniepop steam version).

This is probably just a clarification of the rules as there is already more censorship that this rule indicates.

They also banned Senran kagura. This rule revision is due to the backlash from banning Huniepop and Senran.

Definitely not the best way to shut down the backlash, when they could just add an "adult" tag for some games and add an "age wall".

They don't want to make Twitch a platform for those types of games. I'm honestly surprised by the AO tag, because that's far kinder than I expected them to go. You can go elsewhere if you wish to stream porn games.

You know, if they wanted to ban porn games only, they could just do it. They wouldn't have to ban all AO games.

That's a website specializing in streaming video games. Some games happen to have erotic content. That doesn't make them "porn games". There is erotic content in GoT, it doesn't make it a porn. Neither is it banned from Netflix.

Edit : Just realized 90% of actual porn games don't have a rating in US. Gonna be fun.

That would mean something if there were notable AO games that weren't pornographic. The only one coming up is Hatred which is understandably blocked.
