Forums - Politics Discussion - Massive earthquake to hit California 28-29/5

I feel like we're witnessing the unraveling of someone's psyche.
At first OP just used to rant about how homosexuality was evil, but ever since the marriage equality vote in Ireland he's spiraled from "Christianity is dead" to full blown prophecies of apocalypse.
With each passing day his behaviour gets more erratic and unhinged.
It would be hilarious if it weren't so sad.

Accepting and understanding the necessity of suffering is reserved for those "on the path" or the so called illuminated. I don't wish anyone to die, I only understand and accept why it must be the case for the great conscious evolution.

I have also predicted and accepted my own fate. I will likely perish in the apocalypse along with millions of others. I am at peace with this. This is also Fatima's third secret.

You sound like that ridiculous deceitful and despicable Hell's Angel, Mother Theresa.  Suffering is not necessary, nor is it a gift.  Suffering is something we should all work towards eradicating.

The problem is that to him whatever pain, death and suffering in our lives is part of a test or punishment and that the reward comes after death for those who believe and follow his god.

Not only does he believes that people that don't follow his god deserve death, he also believes that an earthquake would make people change their believes to his, which is absurd. There is no evidence that could possibly prove that an earthquake is a magical religion swapper in people. I would ask him to provide evidence but I bet he is not the type to look for evidence.

I think he wants people punished for not having his belief, he is so immersed in a reality constructed by his own believes that there is no space for any other point of view and, anyone who goes against his, must be eliminated. He says that it really isn't the case but I think that he either wish their deaths or he is lying to himself and is in denial. I would try to bring this argument to him in an attempt to have a debate, but this guy does not leave room to discussion to make an interesting exchange, it would all be a waste of time in the end.

So far he is harmless, just posting this stuff over the internet, and that is good. If he becomes an extremist who would somehow justify hurting other people by some divine call or something then he would be a problem and should be dealt by society, if he would turn into someone who would justify violence by some interpretation of his religion.

The way he talked to me reminded me of this fictional character:

Hopefully it won't go that far.

I think this will be my last post in several months. I see no way that one could have an interesting exchange with someone as immersed in his own reality that we just can't reach him. Like he posted, he sees himself in a higher level where everything we say is already discarded. There is really no point.

I will return though, after January 2nd, to revive this thread and give myself the pleasure of saying how much full of bullshit was the prediction of that opportunits/prophet/liar in the link.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

The problem with the atheist view is that all meaning and purpose ends at the physical death because there is no independent consciousness or as we call a timeless body.

So of course, any discussion about disasters turn overly emotional and it clouds your vision of the greater good that comes out of it.

You also seem to conflate me for some religious fanatic. I am interested in meta-physics and mysticism, not religious dogma. I accept that all creation is polarized, left & right, female and male, etc. It's the Tao, the opposite sides of the same coin because ultimately we are all one. My individual soul pattern is inclined on the right. I am not wise enough to transcend the conflict. Therefore I take a stand against the left as I have in the past.

You have no idea of the energy we are building up collectively. There will be a massive showdown between the forces of the right and the left. This energy will eventually find a release and it also affects the weather patterns of the earth. It responds to our collective consciousness which is why we will soon see natural disasters unlike anything seen since the great flood.

Has nothing to do with atheism, sorry, false.  Some atheists may think there's no consciousness after death, true.  But, that is not a prerequisite principal of being an atheist.  Has absolutely nothing to do with being an atheist, and appears nowhere in any recognized definition of atheism.

Then elaborate on what being an atheist means.

Where in my comment did I mention religion of any kind? Stop reading into things that aren't there, it doesn't do you well.

My only concern is that I've seen you posting in a few threads in what looks to me like a person wearing a "the end is nigh" sign board on ya, and well a lot of posters just ignore you the same way as those people on the street. I would just not like for you to log off here and think no one had said you were wrong which means everyone clearly agree's with the doom saying for the planet based on the actions of a tiny insignificant species on it.

My main point is I think you should probably just make a thread yourself with a poll and just write your stance on how the world will end and what is causing it to see just how people really feel towards your views, since this thread is possibly about some PR stunt to get people to watch San Andreas, I would actually be sort of interested to know if there are many others on this site who feel as you do in terms of people using free will going to summon the end times on us. I think based on a few of the replies to some of your pop in comments in threads that some people don't believe you to be serious when you post them where I think you are and that can be lost sometimes on a gaming sales forum in a drive by comment.

I honestly didn't get much from what you wrote. Was difficult to read. Though you are correct that people are usually not interested in these obscure and arcana topics. It's the burden of knowledge. The average person is in a sleep-like state, totally absorbed by the physical veil/illusion. Though, I still feel there is some usefulness in trying to awaken a sense of mystery in the average person.

The wisdom I possess is uncommon for my young age. Most people who accept the mystery and who are on the path are usually 50 years or older. I don't have much in common with that age group so I post here.

In short, please don't mistake people not replying to tell you that you are wrong with people being in silent agreement with you, please. That's really all I'd  ask you do.

As for "The wisdom I possess is uncommon for my young age" well... what? You think you're wise beyond your years so you post on a gaming site your thoughts on humanity dooming the planet we're on? That's again why I'd suggest adding a poll on a thread asking if people here do have much in common with your thoughts, I think you would find that you'ld have more in common with 50+ year olds than those on this site regarding your views on LGBT community and religion.

TL:DR - Your posts read to me like a

and I think the majority on here don't say they disagree with you because they think you are joking.

Atheism is the lack of a belief in a God(s)/deities.

So what does the average atheist think about life after death?

Of course people don't agree with me. It's called the burden of knowledge. Those who know are usually few and hence they must carry it alone.
