Sony might be announcing a price drop to both the PS4 and PS Vita consoles soon based on some new evidence today.

As reported by WholesomeGamer, PlayStation has an official retail loyalty site. This is where North American retail employees can sign up and win prizes or learn more about Sony’s upcoming products.

Currently, Sony is holding a competition where these employees can win a PS4 and/or PS Vita console among other things. WholesomeGamer took a screenshot of the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions put new prices on the retail values of both the PS4 and PS Vita consoles.

The PS4 has a retail value of $349.00 on the website. This is interesting as the current retail value of the console in North America is $399. This could mean Sony is planning a $50 price drop for the console.

The price of the PS Vita listed on the website is only $89.00. This is a mega huge drop as the current retail value of the handheld is $199 in North America. The PlayStation TV device is listed as $99. This device keeps its retail price from the look of things.

PS Vita drop seems very unreal. If they were to cut, they would cut $50 max. PS4 pricedrop is more believable though.

a vita price cut won't get any effect if they don't revive the 3rd party support



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I've been expecting a PS4 price drop soon so that doesn't surprise me. Although I thought they might drop it by $100 right away.

Also, the Vita price drop is completely unbelievable.

If they had that kind of headroom for a price drop, we should've seen it get one a while ago. They've been losing millions on the Vita as it is.
