Put it this way... every PS and Xbox fan currently ignoring the wii U and PC, would continue to ignore them.

They would never go PC exclusive anyway, theres nothing in it for them.

They might sell more copies, but they would be selling at a significantly lower price. And since they are not very online focused, they will be a greater target for pirates.

It's more that knowing Nintendo is available to them now on pc (which previously they weren't because they didn't want a ps/xbox AND a Wii U), would that cause even diehard microsoft/sony exclusive fans to be like "nope, these few exclusives that sony/microsoft provide aren't worth buying a console for, i'll stick with multiplats and Nintendo on pc"

Around the Network

I'd have no need for a console if Nintendo released games on PC. Also, anyone claiming that you need a 'gaming rig' to game on a pc is full of it. There are certainly some games that need a decent rig, but there is a vast amount of gaming content available that doesn't. Nintendo games don't need much power and I don't think that would change if they were developing for pc.

Considering PS4 and Xbone are less consoles than faux-PCs (with the next gen to surely blur the lines between console and PC to the point of nondifferentiation), without a "console" experience at all there'd be no point in choosing one over a PC.

That's without looking at the Nintendo games that would be on PC in this scenario. So I'd definitely be a PC-only gamer. I may play on friend/family consoles if they had them for exclusives, but wouldn't go out of my way to get them.

'these few exclusives aren't worth buying a console for' - thats what people think about wii U, and depending on how optimised their games would hypothetically be on PC, people who are not investing in a wii U also wouldnt invest in a PC upgrade for nintendo exclusives.
