Forums - Nintendo Discussion - An absurd hypothetical: What if Nintendo went PC exclusive?

Votessy timez!

I'd go with PC only if i... 107 68.59%

Still too much of an xbox EXCLUSIVE fan. 14 8.97%

Still too much of a Plays... 26 16.67%

I only play mobile. 9 5.77%

Total:156

I'd still go for PC + playstation. Sony owns Naughty GOD, the best first party studio out there :c

Are there any/many local multiplayer games on PC???

Have a nice day...

I'd be very, VERY happy.

You realize more families have computers than gaming devices right? Nintendo's hardware has always been drastically behind even mid ranged pc's. Chances are computers from 2009 could probably play Wii U games just fine. This would eliminate an ADDITIONAL cost, not make them purchase a computer (as they already would have one).

You know that a family computer isn't running Wii U games, right? Most families aren't buying even mid range PCs. Drastically behind is an overstatement when compared to the average PC in the average house. You know the types of games that run on every computer? Minecraft. Not Mario Kart 8, and definitely not something more demanding, which is what you'd get from a Nintendo-made PC game. And Mac. And Linux.

It wouldn't eliminate anything, because the games wouldn't sell. By the toy, buy the games. That's what works. PCs that aren't gaming PCs aren't cutting it, and there are exponentially less of those out there.

Last gen I started being a Wii+Xbox360 gamer and ended up being a Wii+PC gamer. This gen I've been a PC+WiiU gamer. So if Nintendo went for PC, I wouldn't have to buy any more consoles.

And Nintendo wouldn't need a lot of work to make their controllers work for PC, given that they already use bluetooth.

But the thing is that Nintendo will still be Nintendo, and with that I mean that they won't go with Steam but rather create their own service to keep having 100% control of their games.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I'd never buy a dedicated video game console again, but it obviously won't happen.

Seeing as I am strictly PC + Nintendo, I would be in heaven. lol

the problem is alot of those Jrpgs never make it to pc, or do so only 10years after or something silly (so a playstation still a good buy).

That said... if nintendo went pc only.... id save $ on buying their consols :P
Buy a few more games I guess. Id actually be really welcomeing of it, im not sure if it would be good or bad for nintendo, but personally id like it.

I'd really like to see them make use of the Wii U gamepad on PC and maybe future devices of theirs, I can definitely see them making their own version of Steam which would be nice to have some firm competition against Valve (force them a bit more to clean up a bit) and maybe Nintendo could even do their own version of Steam sales and become renowned for it.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

If it did, I'd probably start playing on PC more, but I'll just stick with the old consoles/handhelds
