So do we ignored the first 8-9 months? Because sony has been the only one to relase exclusives this whole year so far of the hd twins. Please explain this logic to me.

This year maybe (with the exception of Ori, a great game), but last year xbo did a better job with exclusives, and this year the exclusive line up for xbo looks 3 times more interesting than ps4, and also is a cheaper console with all the multiplatforms that performs almost at the same level (maybe a 15% less of resolution, nobody should care about it honestly).

I don´t really care, I´m not going to buy a xbo (neither a ps4), I´m a WiiU and PC guy, but that´s what I think, xbo has way more reasons that justify its purchase than ps4 imo.

Also, I know last 9 months PS4 has won, that´s what I say "has made a difference this time"

You misunderstood, what I am saying is that it will be 8-9 montghs before xbox releases any thing significant after MCC. How is that acceptable. In you opinion should sony have delayed all their exclusives towards the holidays?

The system that is advertised with the biggest third parties will have the advantage this holiday.

More graphs:

Current difference: PS4 in the lead by 720k. I will add other systems upon request. But not tonight as I'll be at a baseball game.

Now to separate Xbox and PlayStation systems from that big chart that has every major system in the past 15 years on it. First Xbox:

The XBO has sold 850k units through the first four months of the year. By comparison, the 360 sold 895k in the first four months of 2007 and the Xbox sold 654k in the first four months of 2003. The XBO sold 826k the first four months of 2014, meaning sales are up by 2.9% so far this year.

The PS4 sold 1048k through the Jan.-April period this year, compared to 1345k for the PS2 and 994k for the PS3 in the first four months of their second years (note that the PS3 had its first major price cut in November '07, which introduced the first $400 SKU). The PS4 sold 1126k during the first four months of 2014, meaning it's down 6.9% so far YoY. Unfortunately I don't have exact monthly numbers for the PS1, but based on the data I do have it was off to a very slow start in the U.S., selling roughly in the 40-60k range from January to May of 1996, then a price cut in June of that year at least doubled baseline sales. It cleared 200k for the first time outside the holidays in June '97, and in Sept. '97 (the month FFVII came out) it sold something like 370-380k.

Alright, now actually have full NPD numbers for my graphs, even 2013's.

First up, WiiU comparison with 2013 as well.

And what I actually wanted.

Whoa! XB1 won!? Nice!! Looks like no 10 month streak this year. Great job MS

Wasn't Wii U up YOY in March?

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I guess this pretty much guarantees a Sony price cut anouncement at E3 to counter Halo at the Hollyday season.

Yeah because if Xbox One can win with just State of Decay. Imagine Xbox One with Halo 5.

Yes it was. It sold 84k this past March, vs 70k in March 2014.

Lol ps4 wins last month by over 100k, but somehow xbox winning by 13k means the tides are turning.
