Not really. Lost interest in the series a while back. But i do enjoy pokemon go.

Hope my gimmick ended up being a decent level.

I didn't mean you were a fan, but if you like Pokemon Go then I'd think you would like the mainseries games since they're over 9000 times better.

Eh, to be completely honest it wasn't too interesting though it's a decent challenge, but that's just my obviously biased opinion!

I was gifted x and I lost interest after a while. Maybe I'll give it another try.

I suck at making courses. So it's better than my last few. But on the challenge part, I had to make it a bit easier since my brother said I made it way to difficult. The last little bit with the bridge to the axe. You had to play that part 100% perfect or the fire would get you. But after some consideration. I don't think people would find that fun.

I'm surprised you haven't lost interest in Pokemon Go then, there's barely anything to that game.

Hey it's still better than most levels, you actually put thought into it!

The NES Mini is looking more and more appealing.

So Nintendo posted a video of a particular location from Breath of the Wild on their Facebook page...
Seems almost out of character for Nintendo...
Nothing super huge, but people are starved for more details, and a lot of the comments are super hyped...

Have a nice day...

Yay, Plat is back! Haven't been here in a while, re-tagging

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is fumbling hard on the optional stuff. The arena is really terrible on its legendary difficulty. Not only are the arena coin gains halved (only 9 per run instead of 18), but the rewards are piss poor too. You can earn War Fragments which unlock the best weapon for each character, but you only get three War Fragments for a full 99 coins run. So in order to get one for all seven characters, you have to complete two runs and add another session (a War Fragment is the first reward). A 9 coin run takes about 15 minutes with level 99 characters at 150 strength, so 23 such runs require around six hours. But it doesn't stop there. Weapons feature an additional skill to unlock if you forge them a second time, so another seven War Fragments are necessary.

Sometimes I wish I was a supervisor for video game development. In a situation like the above, I would smack the people who came up with those stupid ideas. Firstly, if the player can finish an arena run that features 15 waves of enemies, then the player has nothing more to prove anymore. Everything beyond that is pure grinding. Secondly, if you insist on this logic that the reward can't be more than a single item, then hand out said item for each subsequent run, don't space it out like that. Thirdly, if you insist on the previous point, then the weapons better be super powerful and come with amazing abilities, not just a mere few extra points in attack and almost exclusively duplicate skills.

This is awful. It already takes hours of grinding to become powerful enough to beat the arena, and that's by using the DLC which speeds up grinding tremendously. It shouldn't take more than one run in the arena. The reward should be a key item that unlocks the best weapons for all characters. Afterwards you only need to collect the materials to forge the weapons, and the same materials again to forge the weapons again.

After so many years of JRPGs, how can it be that developers still pull off such bullshit? Are there really gamers who like such repetitive stuff?

I would say it's there for the same reason many shooters have sections of inconsequential repetition to pad level length. Or the same reason Ubi started stuffing AC with more and more pointless busy work sidequests.  Or the reason Bravely's third act is so atrocious.  That is, to get into some arbitrary "big boys club" defined by game length, this ridiculous notion that you can't be a real [insert genre] without being [insert arbitrary game length].  That's why you have this content, that's why in the case of Bravely we couldn't have a great ~25 (MAYBE 30) game but instead had to have a drawn out terrible third act to drag it torturously across the "magic" 40-45 hour mark.
