Here in Stockholm, militant leftists are constantly starting violent clashes during regular protests; they show up with backpacks filled with bricks, they perhaps carry a baton or a knife and have masks on their face. "We're here for a peaceful protests, it's not our fault that the message we're protesting against is so hateful that it causes violent behavior from our side."After the police has sorted the problems and arrested the perpetrators; they go wild in the media and describe and condemn police brutality, the media is always there to tell their side of the story, it really sells clicks and newspapers.
Mankind is inherently drawn to chaos and disorderly behavior, I think, we like to break the imagined strings of control that authorities have attached to us and show that we are brave and do not conform, especially youth and kids seem drawn to it.
PS: Aren't you a police officer? Or at least used to be? I know a lot of officers back home, it's a tough job and it can be hard to not get judged simply because you're wearing a uniform.
