We all know which one is more popular, but I really want to know if there is anybody out there (like me) who enjoy Sonic ASRT more than MK8?

I mean, the controls in Sonic are so much better. I have always hated drifting in Mario Kart, but it is so great in Sonic. I also prefer the music in Sonic. The speed is much faster in Sonic.

Obviously the graphics go to Mario Kart, but Sonic is the game that has received many more hours of enjoyment.

What say you?

The Sonic game is def under rated- but i'm not enough of a connoisseur of that genre to say more

Sorry, but no, the controls of Sonic racing transformed are clearly worse than on Mario Kart 8. Same with the weapons, the graphics, the tracks. Sonic is good, but MK8 is epic.

Sonic Racing was good, but I haven't touched it since MK8. MK8 absolutely shits on Sonic ASRT in every single catagory. Better music, better sound design, better sound quality, better controls, better tracks, better vehicle customization, better roster, better graphics, better framerate, better items, better online: better everything.

It's the closest thing to Diddy Kong Racing since Diddy Kong Racing though. That's a bonus.

From what I've played of both, I think Mario Kart 8 is better overall. Transformed is really surprisingly great however, especially for the price.

I own both, and MK8 wins by a landslide.

Edit: I want to elaborate. I bought SASRT on the PS3 about 2 years before I got a Wii U, and while I really enjoyed it at the time, I played it for about a couple months and never went back. Fast forward to May 2014, and I was obsessed with Mario Kart 8. Played it for months and months, and I'm still playing it today due to intuitive and fast online, as well as DLC support. Really, everything feels better in MK8 to me. The controls, the music, the graphics, the framerate, the tracks, etc. Really, there's no other kart racer I'd rather play (and that's including CTR which was the epitome of my childhood).

I like them both, but Sonic racing gets my preference because i'm a huge fan of old SEGA.

Tracks based on panzer dragoon, nights, golden axe,etc. make me excited, while DK jungle track on MK i'm like..ok. 

Sonic transformed also had more modes, but MK8 definitly had more support with DLC, wich i wish Sonic had.

Sonic Transformed is a fun and overlooked game, but Mario Kart 8 is in another league entirely.
About the only edge Sonic has is 5-player local multiplayer on Wii U, which is admittedly awesome. But in virtually every other department MK8 is superior.

I played a bit of Sonic Racing, but I still prefer Mario Kart over Sonic... maybe because whenever I played Sonic Racing, it felt somewhat like a clone of Mario Kart..
