Just How Big of a Deal is Ryu (Street Fighter) in SSB4? Thoughts on His Inclusion (if True)?

Meaning, is it as big as Megaman? Something as equivalent as [insert something]?

Also your thoughts on his inclusion? Personally looks like a Weird choice but again, Ryu is very iconic and probably the most popular fighting genre character of all of gaming....... 

It'd be a pretty big deal. Really, if this happened I would expect something Street Fighter-related on the Wii U. Or 3DS (not SFIV).

I think Snake was a more bizarre choice, tbh.

If true, then I would find it very weird. Not only has there been only one recent Street Fighter game (the one on the 3DS), but and next Street Fighter game is a PS4 exclusive.

The only reason Capcom would let them put him into Smash would be to maybe get some free advertisement, but personally I feel that Nintendo would pick up on this.

I think If he is going to be Smash DLC, then there must be something going on between Capcom and Nintendo. (In my opinion)

Way bigger than mega man, SF and Mega Man IPs aren't even in the same league.

Why should Nintendo include him? There's a remake of SF 4 on the 3DS, but no other games and nothing coming in the future.

I don't think Nintendo would make a Snake mistake again. If Ryu is in SSB4, they would want something in return.

Which honestly would actually make more sense given Ninja Gaiden's history on the NES and the fact that we received Ninja Gaiden 3 : Razor's Edge more recently then the last Street Figther release on a Nintendo platform, unless Capcom and Nintendo have something they aren't tell us.

I say it's awesome. Easily the most iconic fighter in a video game

Why should Nintendo get anything in return?  Its not like putting Ryu in SSB is gonna help sell copies of SFV which is exclusive to another platform.
