Leieh versus Luke lightsaber battle confirmed.

I liked the trailer. I also like the fact they confirmed the desert planet is NOT Tatooine (thank god).

When was the Leia vs Luke battle confirmed? From what I know it's going to be much more complicated than that. Regarding a huge cast of new characters. From my understanding there will be an amazing saber battle with Luke but not without consequences. Luke has become more force sensitive and needs to isolate himself. There are rumors that he can feel the force around him and has a deep connection with the force. In other words he in theory has surpassed Yoda himself. I don't think he's on his way to the dark side but if he can use the force to know everything in the past present and future he may try to prevent one of those dark outcomes and that could result in some drastic consequences. A huge misunderstanding that could trigger a fight with someone he once held dear.

In other words Luke could appear to be the villain but when in reality he is still a hero. The knowledge he has gives him the power to prevent disasters and he may trigger a chain reaction.

I am glad that Planet is not Tatooine either. They have been saying that for a while though. then again that was just a rumor and speculation.

I was joking I have no clue. I just thought it was funny to picture 60 years Carrie Fisher and Mark Hammell going at it.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

Bleh I am heading out to a conference tomorrow so I won't be back until Saturday night or Sunday. Otherwise I would dig into all the details with everyone! :)

I am so stoked for this movie myself but then again I am a huge Star Wars fan and honestly say what you will but Revenge of the Sith is my favorite. It's up there with Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi.

I think this movie is going to more than just impresses people. Surprisingly this trailer reviled way too much in my books. It confirms a few things that I have heard about the film prior and it looks like we are going to be in for one hell of a ride, and the final showdown is going to make some jaws drop!

Is episode vii a canonical successor, meaning those who read books and comics already know what will happen?

Yes Episode VII is a canonical successor! However with that in mind Disney has scrapped the whole EU stuff for a freash start and more "creative control". Anything after Return of the Jedi is no longer cannon unfortunately. Thrawn Trilogy and Legacy of the Force are gone now. That being said there are elements from some of the EU content that will influence the films. J J. Abrams knows what he is doing. He has a been a huge Star Wars nerd since he was little boy! So I trust that he gets this one right. For him, this is like if you were given a change to work on your favorite IP! Abrams dream has come true.

There is a HUGE rumor that Mara Jade will make an appearance in the film. This is a huge rumor that has some evidence backing it up due to the Star Wars Rebels toy lineup. This should be taken with a grain of salt.

Thanks, I really can't wait for december! :)

Really very very exciting

It wasn't quite as exciting as the first trailer which made me leap in the air with joy. But it told me a lot more

I love the look of the new ships, really nice twists on the old designs

The first trailer added more mystery while this one brought more surprises to give us a taste of what's to come! I hope you all enjoy it! :)

Anyways I'm not going to on the forums for a few days so if any of you want to talk about the movie or have any questions feel free to shoot my a message to my inbox :)

HAPPY STAR WARS DAYS EVERYONE!

I'm so sad I might need to miss the Battlefront 3 reveal Q.Q

Oh well I suppose this stuff is a bit more important. There is more to life than just Star Wars and Video Games. I mean we have Marvel too right? LMAO I'm jk!

What really? Are you serious? He was one of the first cast members announced! They said the original cast was returning from the get go. Luke is the one narrating in this new trailer. Han will be in this film, but from my understanding he will not return for the rest of the trilogy. Luke and Leia will likely stick around but Harrison Ford wants out. I have a reason to believe my sources but if standed correct, Hans fate will shock and rock the whole world! It will be a very lasting impact to long time fans of the series and will shatter the characters in the film. Rumor has it his death is what triggers one of the new characters to embrace the darkside.

PS. How do you do the spoiler tag on this site? I think I am in a deep need to know if I am to continue talking about this movie.

I dont think so. The voice is too young, but more importantly he says: "My father HAS it."

I'm not the HUGEST Star Wars fan but this looks very promising. The fight scenes alone (the brief glimpses they've shown) already show a much higher quality than the prequels. The CGI they use and the practical effects look very well done.
