Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Captain Toad or Rainbow Curse?

I've been trying to decide what to get as my next Wii U purchase, I've narrowed it down to these two titles, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker & Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. I just played both games demos at a kiosk in Target and found them both to be very fun. I only got to play one level of each game so not really enough to figure out which I would enjoy more, any input or recommendations would be appreciated

Rainbow Curse hasn´t been released on Europe, so is hard to tell.

I loved Captain Toad, that´s what I can say.

Coming from someone who's beaten both games, I say go for Captain Toad. It has more content and, in my opinion, is more enjoyable. However, if you prefer sidescrollers over 3D puzzle games, you might prefer Rainbow Curse. They're both good, ultimately.

Captain Toad is a single player game. But Kirby can be played up to 4 players. If this info impacts your purchase or not is up to you. I loved Captain Toad and is one of my favorite Wii U games.

Both are extremely casual and easy so I think it's pretty much a toss up. If you like one, you'll probably like the other. My advice? Buy neither and get a SNES and a copy of Super Metroid instead.

Having played both, I'd say Captain Toad. It's not even a competition between the 2. But then again, that's just my opinion. You might prefer Kirby.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

Captain Toad is a hardcore game disguised with cute characters. The other is just cute caracters and casual stuff.

Both good, but I'd say Captain Toad is the winner as per my preference.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

I can't talk about Kirby, we're waiting for it in Spain lol. But Captain Toad is a must, especially if you like puzzle games. It's an easy game, but, some of the latest levels in the game and the challenges are tough. It provides a great experience for both casual and hardcore gamers, I can't recommend it enough.

Who cares if they're casual and easy? What if he wants something casual and easy?

OP: Go with Captain Toad dude. Screw the hardcore stigma.
