Perhaps not, but he might as well have. Profits are what matter for Nintendo at this point. Even if the console doesn't sell well, Nintendo will profit greatly from it.

Thats why he said its a failure from a marketing and investor standpoint...

Even so, many 'experts' have called out Nintendo's products indirectly. I am sure many of us are aware that the Wii U, and for that matter, Nintendo have seen better days with their home consoles. Continually stating such negativity will continue to breed distrust among consumers who may have an interest in Nintendo.

So many people have not even considered the possibility that NX could be a handheld.

That's confirmation bias for you.

Nothing he says is really news or shocking. Who gives these people a voice when they don't have anything interesting to say.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

He could have at least listened to the rest of Iwata's speech when he talked about NX...

Releasing one less game makes the release schedule barren? ok...

'Soon' could mean a few years, so I guess he is correct :P

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Nintendo only really supports their consoles for 4 years anyway (post-SNES era).

Sorry but 1 or 2 good releases after year 4 does not constitute actual support, Nintendo basically does jack all for their consoles after their 4th birthday.

GameCube was abandoned after 2004, N64 after 2000, and Wii after 2010.

It makes me wonder how much of an expert you really are if you're claiming the Wii U has sold nowhere near what the XboxOne has. Sure, the Microsoft's console is selling a lot faster, but a difference isn't more than a couple of million (so far).

Must be Michael Pachter's roommate. I bet they write articles while feeding eachother Nesquik and Cheetos
