the 3 remakes so far changed more than graphics, adding other control options, but graphic upgrade alone is what makes a remake.

The ports seem to be here to fill release gaps now that 3ds is late in it's life. the remakes had a market for them, especially MM 3d. It was like the people who always wanted FF 7 remake and never got it.

From Nintendo: Remakes= LoZ MM + LoZ OoT + Star Fox 3D + ORAS   and Ports: XC 3D + DK:CR 3D and if TTYD is true.

And there's nothing wrong with any of those. 

You can't play any of those games in a portable fashion any other way for starters, porting existing games to handhelds has been a thing since day 1 with the Game Boy and Tetris. 

Sheesh, enough with the silly console pissing wars. 

Remakes/remasters on consoles are a different story because there's no added functionality in the games really, portability is a big difference maker unless you carry around a Wii in your back pack with an LCD display to play say ... Xenoblade.

Well sounds OK, if it is a N3D2 exclusive then it must be that it is not possible to convert the game and add the 3D element on the slightly less powerful Original 3DS.. So it should not alienate original owners as there systems are unable to run it adequately.

Also not every Wii owner has a Gamecube compatible system ,many Wii consoles are Wii only. So it makes sense to port over some of these classic GameCube and Wii titles to the new 3DS. It actually make buying one that more a viable option if you already own a original 3DS or 2DS like myself.

I'm not arguing with you, just more saying that in general to people who now use mindlessly crap on any remake/port, especially of console games that are being made playable in portable form for the first time.  

I'd sell my soul for this to be real.

Here's my take on these 3D remakes for the N3DS. First, I don't really care. I don't own a 3DS or an N3DS. I'm not sure I ever will. So there's that. But don't lose me as a possible customer for a good idea. Release at the same time the same port on the WiiU EShop. I'd probably pay $20 for this. I'd definitely buy it at the $9.99 price tag they offered Metroid Prime Trilogy and SMG2 for.

But really...I hope if any of this is true it is more marketing for a fresh Paper Mario. Many don't want to see a Super Paper Mario style game, which kind of bums me out since I really liked that game. But I'd be happy with TTYD style game as well of course. They'll just need to up the ante a bit graphically. I think they've missed out by not releasing a Paper Universe game, though. Blending Nintendo IPs is a sure fire path to success. I'd love to see the characters from the Mushroom Kingdom meet headlong with those of Hyrule and Zebes in paper form.

Right, forgot about pokemon and DK returns. Seems a standard, if not low nunber of remakes/ports.
