That's still local.

Kinda, but technically that is not local. It doesn't have the terrible drawbacks of local and would be impossible without networking of some sort

There's really no difference playing CS, Starcraft etc with friends via a local area network or through the internet, but in both cases in the same room together. You're still playing with eachother locally. I see the same situation with LAN console gaming and local online console gaming.

Me and my mates, asado (barbaque), drinks and Fifa all night long!

Most of my friends are lazy bastards who won't leave their moms basement but on the rare occasion that the dwellers go out to see the sun we end up playing games like Smash Bros. Usually those party games but if it's just one other friend we might play some local Halo/Gears of War on the hardest difficulty just to get some laughs at how horrible we are.

Alcohol and games are a match made in heaven.

...till someone tries to be a hero and drinks too much, then it sucks.

Not a lot of good local multiplayer games on the ps4 which is upsetting, only ones of notice are Fifa (me and my brothers have tournaments on a regular basis) and that sportsfriends indie game that came out free on ps+ a few months ago. Does anyone have any other local multiplayer suggestions for Ps4?

I do thats the only type of multiplayer I do on my consoles.

I do play online on PC but only when I have 2+ friends I can play with

I dont like playing with strangers because I usually lose some brain cells everytime I come in contact with idiots so I try to avoid that as much as possible xD

At least once a week, at home, with my niece, nephews, sister and one or two fellow neighbours (normally on weekends afternoons)
Actually, when deciding which game to purchase for my home console, most of the time I prefer to get games that have at least one multiplayer mode.

Once in a while, with friends with our 3ds at restaurants, shopping malls, videogame meetings or anime conventions. At least once in a month we get together somewhere to play, eat, drink and chat.

Call me old-fashioned, but I don´t enjoy online play that much. I always prefer to play local multiplayer and use videogames as a way to get people together.
