Stupid question because I just don't remember... did MK8 have voice chat?

I think you can use voice chat in private lobbies, but it's muted once the race starts.

Online multiplayer should have voice chat, otherwise you lose a big part of what online gaming is about.

And if you don't want to listen to others just mute them.

I seriously don't understand Nintendo sometimes. They clearly can put voice chat in there but they won't. I mean Pokemon Diamond and Pearl had voice chaT back in 2006 on the DS. You could turn it on or off before games.

If they put VC in those games during online play, why not in Splatoon which would benefit from it even more? Seriously WTF?

Well, time to boycott this game.

even if it was just with friends, or to communicate about what levels to play or modes to compete in. they have to stop telling us what we want!!! if want it use it, not then we could have shut it off. i wonder if they even know u can block people u dont want to talk to. although not 100% its funny how they always shoot themselves in the foot somehow!!

If Nintendo had the secret to saving youths from shortfalls, they would sell twenty times as many consoles.

I was looking forward to this fun shooter but now I don't think I will purchase it.  

Awful news. The most fun I could have had was talking fo friends whkle playing. Strategic or not. This is making me consider canceling my pre order. Dont see the splatoon online community lasting ver long. I like that the game is innovative, but u have to master the basics b4 u improve upon them.

I´ve heard that Skype still exists.

I think this game would have benefitted from voice chat. I might not get the game now.
