Yes it is. And people still think NX must be a replacement for 3DS and Wii U, lmao

A replacement 3DS is the most straight forward idea and makes the most sense

But some kind of streaming device doesn't sound too implausible. Maybe it has loads of streaming capabilities to assist the future Wii 3 (or whatever)?

Or maybe it's somehow a replacement for both? 3DS came out in 2011 and Wii U in 2012. 2016 replacements would be on the shorter end of the expected life cycles, but it's not impossible

The only question with the replacement bit would be, "why recently develop and release a new 3ds with new functionality if it's going to be replaced in a year"

Little R&D, boosts flagging sales and fixes a few niggles.

Not gonna say I like the tactic, but its really no different to the annual mobile phone refresh etc.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

So based on a few rumors, we're looking at a $150 Android-based device with similar specs to Wii U but with a faster CPU and more RAM releasing next year.

I hope these rumors are true and I'm really hoping it has 2 different skus, 1 handheld & 1 console.

More than likely I think we're talking a 400$ device with a contract capable of both wiiu and 3ds games.

That's definitely not happening, recent interviews have talked about how Wii U is/was more expensive than they would have like to go. They certainly aren't going to fix that problem by releasing an even more expensive device.

Witha contract.

I'm thinking carrier contract. 150$ is too cheap. It will be seen as cheap by the market.

400$ with a carrier contract bringing the price down to 150$ and attached to a cell plan, or maybe even sold alongside a phone, etc. who knows. 150$ is way too cheap though.

Do u honestly think Nintendo is going to have a carrier contract? U don't deserve to have the official NX thread if u believe that
