How would you rate their approach?

In terms of porting, advertising, types of indies they get, etc.

I give them an 7 due to this:

They advertise indies in directs, different eveents, and the eshop.

They have unity making it very easy to port with it, BUT its harder with unreal engine 4 and others.

They do get some popular indie games like octodad, don't starve, shovel knight, BUT not the mega popular ones like Minecraft.

Yeah so I give them a 7 they do a good job but they need to get those mainstream indies as well like minecraft and terraria(which might come to wii u according to amazon).

Minecraft definitely isn't indie any more.

I'd give it an 8, but like Dengle above me said, Minecraft is no where near indie now. They have definitely improved, though

I think it's pretty solid, they have made a lot of improvement in the last few years and it appears they are going to continue improving in that area.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

It has been decent so far. I'd give it a 6.5, 7 rounded.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I say an 8/10 cause there is virtually no restriction anymore for wiiU eshop

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

6-7/10. They've made solid improvements and I honestly feel like Minecraft is gonna make it's way to the Wii U by the end of the year, even though I don't consider it an indie anymore.

They're doing well. Support is slower because they started later. Indie scene has been thriving on the PS3/360 for a long time now. Support on the wii was very limited; stand outs were world of goo and that game where you control wind.

They're not as aggressive as sony or Microsoft but right now I don't think they have a ton to gain through that, now they're just building up quality support and paving way for indies to succeed on their platform.

I'd give it a 7. They have been getting some great indie titles and have made some great improvements.

I hear very VERY little from Nintendo indies (exclusives more so) so I'll give them a 5.
