Back then, PS3 and X360 were promising consoles, designed for the future and with lots of announced next-gen titles. 3rd parties were backing them even more than the Wii. They were also expensive consoles, specially the PS3, that got cheaper along the time.

Ok, that's totally different. XOne's biggest argument is Microsoft itself. They will fight till the end. But the console hasn't much to positively differentiate itself from the PS4. Only some exclusives and the kinect thing. And these aren't enough to surpass PS4's strongest arguments: better machine and Sony exclusives.

In the end I don't believe XOne will be far behind PS4 but the fact that WiiU may only take 15% market share makes the PS4 to get 50% easily.

I would say between 50-55. Why do you think it won't? Especially with the way the systems are currently selling?

I think the XBOne will rebound again, MS clearly does not mind losing tons of money on it. They have put out some awesome bundles.

Great achievement, but just like Wii before, after looking like it could exceed 50% easily, it's still struggling reaching it. This time it should be easier, and most probably, unlike Wii, PS4 will do it, but still, the last console to exceed 50% really easily and unstoppably was PS2.

I'm sure it will easily grow, PS4 has 60 to 70% market share in some places. There it will grow with its big software much easier then in NA who to will increase to PS4s favor just less so.

I cannot wait to see the effect a price cut or a Gran Turismo or Uncharted will have on PS4 sales world wide.
