Forums - Sony Discussion - Will Bloodborne be smeared like the Order: 1886? (Opinion piece)

Lmao your reasons were you couldn't climb things to shoot vertical vertically.  were not arguing over the best platform platformer here!

And then you brought up Ratchet and Clank. Yeah as if the guns from that are gonna be expected to make it into this.  The order guns are incredibly visceral and have an excellent sense of realism.  The best I've played yet.

Jesus Crist did you even read what I wrote? I said Uncharted is an example of UNIQUE gameplay because you could climb and jump, that was an example because The Order does nothing knew in regard to cover mechanics which you claim it did.

AGAIN I took Ratchet and Clank as an example of UNIQUE weapons in a TPS. The Order guns can shred people in the game but that is not original in any way, the weapons are run of the mill TPS guns except for the thermite, in a fantasy game I would have expected more originality.

I read what you said and I'm baffled that you brought that up because I'm strictly talking the shooting.  Uncharted doesn't hold a patch on the order regarding shooting and I'm a massive uncharted series fan.

I'm talking about the fact that you said The Order shooting is UNIQUE when it is generic and adds nothing new or seen before but you keep talking about other things. I mentioned Uncharted as an example of unique shooting but again you seem to not understand nothing avoid subject and blindly keep complimenting The Order.

Jumping up and down is not shooting. I'm taking about pressing L2 to aim and R2 to shoot. The order blew me away in that regard.

Heavy Rain wasn't "thrown in the bin", it has an 87 on metacritic.

By some critics it was just like some critics gave the order a 2/3/4/5 out of 10

Overall it was well recieved critically though. In my personal opinion they were too kind; Heavy Rain is, to me, representative of just about everythng wrong with modern gaming.

We are poles apart regards gaming.  I thought heavy rain was so fresh compared to all the other games playing it safe.

This article is about a select few looking for attention and that select few was certainly there for the release of heavy rain.

Scoring it low doesn't mean they did so just for attention. Given the game's divisive nature there are many legitimate reasons to score it low; those who favour gameplay over story had good reason to find its limited interactivity a deal breaker, for instance.

The industry was fucked if a game had to be a set way.  Thank God for games like the walking dead,  heavy rain,  beyond two souls and the Wolf among us.

And yes many reviewers do it on purpose for attention and extra hits as this piece exposes.  Burying your head in the sand doesn't mean it doesn't.

I love how people keep talking about "the vast majority of people" that hated the Order, as if there's a way to tell how most people feel about a game. As if the some websites and forums are a good indication of the masses. That's why everyone hates Fifa and Cod, yet they keep buying the next installment, right?

As for the article. No, it won't get terrible reviews, because hating on it is not the cool thing to do at the moment.

The industry is fucked if games are diluted to the status of wannabe movies, in my humble opinion.

And there are also many reviewers who rate exclusives higher to appease the console's fanbase, so high scores are just as suspect as low ones.

No need to be humble homie.  You act as If these games threaten the industry.  They are niche and are throughly enjoyed by people like me.  I'm open minded and like most modern games.
