But I see white and gold.

From what I have read in numerous newspapers over the past day the norm is that most people will see White/Light-blue and Gold, the minority should see Blue and Black.

I don't remember in which paper I read it, but some Swedish(?) scientist said this is because some people have a defect on their eyes and can not process the colours etc. so they can only see the "true" colours, even though the gradient is actually shown differenly and should show White and Gold. Or something.

Based on this I find it intersting to see that the users here on forum are the complete opposite from the "rest".

Because brain/eyes illusion... it is a pretty common phenomenon.

Another example for you... A and B are the same color

Yeap most people will see the "wrong" colors.

But if you change the place/illumination everybody can see the right color.

With a deep blue background and on a monitor with too high backlight/too high contrast settings the blue part might look white and the black part clearly reflects orange light from the scenerie making it look brown/ochre-ish which can be mistaken for gold with those same settings.
