Forza 5 - The lowest rated game in the series, with a 79 meta

Kinect Sports Rivals - 60 meta, may have been the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of dropping Kinect

Halo MCC - ports of 4 old games, still having issues 3 months after launch

Killer Instinct Season 2 - half developed by Rare

 

How are MS escaping scrutiny on their first party studios when this is what they have produced for X1 after 16 months?

Nobody expects MS studios to produce anything significant, so nobody gets upset when they don't.

Major gaming media are hypocrites. The same site are going to give the next Gears of War 8s, 9s and 10s praising its linear play.

Forza 5... yeah not sure.

Kinect Sport Rivals... did anyone expect it to be decent? Criticizing that is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Halo MCC did get a lot of flack, but during a time when many other games got flack too.

Killer Instinct? I just think the disdain for that has long since passed. Still justifiable, but lessened due to being a year old.

I assume this in in reply to The Order scores, I think because it is really the only high profile game this month to score poorly (well not sure what youd say about Evolve), or it was hyped up to sky levels then came crashing down upon release.

Even with its flaws the masterchief collection is the best remaster ever made only because of how much content it has. Other exclusive games like sunset overdrive and forza horizon 2 have big scores because they deserve them, but when Microsoft makes a shitty game like crimson dragon it gets bad reviews.

So if you want first party games from sony to stop having this low scores maybe you should try to write a letter to Sony and ask them why have they allowed their first party studios to make games with such a low quality this last year (and others like Knack that are a piece of shit just like crimson dragon is).

Sony first party have produced 2 80+ games, MS none. But this thread is about MS, not Sony
