Forums - Gaming Discussion - So how's your portable gaming life? - Mobile fans welcomed too

To expand upon the thread title, which portable systems do you own? Have you been playing handhelds at all lately, or has your Vita been tucked away on the far side of your desk buried under your junk like an asphyxiated corpse, silently begging you to help it move on...?

Back to the brighter side of things, any games you hope to get soon, or some you purchased recently?

Anything keeping you from buying a new system or game?

As for me... Yay! Today, I managed to get not only a Majora's Mask N3DS XL, but it also comes with the MM Collector's Edition!

Check that out! I was so lucky as to have wondered onto the GameStop website at just the time I did. Seized one immediately, directly before it was unlisted.

PS+ games, lots of PS+ games

I own all Nintendo/Sony handhelds. Lately I mainly play 3DS/PS Vita. Possibly want MM3D but Im not the biggest Zelda fan so I'll wait on that. Also want the standard New 3DS but since only the XL is coming to NA I refuse to buy it.

How about mobile gaming? :P
Though to be honest, it's quite nice to be able to play older games on mobile via emulators.

3DS is the most recent one. (There are many more which I'm not counting right now, why would I be playing on my Original Gameboy for example? )

Have you been playing handhelds at all lately?

Yeah, used my 3DS quite often over the course of the last week. It's quite handy for time spent travelling etc. Sometimes I use them frequently, (like last week) other times not so much, but I surely never forget about them.

Any games you hope to get soon, or some you purchased recently?

It's a shame because the last games I purchased for the 3DS were Shinobi 3D and Steel Diver and that was over one year ago. Though I want to pick up Majora's Mask 3D and Fire Emblem: Awakening in the near future.

Anything keeping you from buying a new system or game?

Yes. Money, as simple as that. It's not that easy to get all the gems, trying to support more than one system at a time and the Wii U is quite a strong competitor. Recently I've been investing more money towards console than handheld gaming.

Mostly been playing through my 3DS backlog right now along with some Virtual Console games.

Protable gaming consoles are where I spend most of my time so I can say it's pretty active! I am currently playing on my 3DS!

3DS XL, and a PSP take up my times. I still play old DS games, but also I have a huge backlog of 3DS games to work on. I commute by bus for at least two hours every day, so it is definitely a sizable portion of my gaming life.

My portable gaming life is awesome, don't play 3DS anymore pretty much. Play my Vita almost every day.

I have a 3DS but it is mainly for my son. It just doesn't appeal to me and I mainly game on console.

That said, I do play my Vita a decent amount. Plus has been very good to it and left me with a huge backlog of full release titles. I also get my JRPG itch scratched every now and then with it and remote play is incredibly handy.
