Fans of the Wild Arms series have been hoping for a new game for a while, and during a live broadcast hosted by Sony from the Tokaigi Japan Games Party 2015 Producer Kentaro Motomura mentioned something that could make many smile.

Motomura-san mentioned that no matter how small, Wild Arms’ fire has not been extinguished, and that Producer Akifumi kaneko continues acting independently behind the scenes. The positive reaction of the fans to yesterday’s livestream, he added, could become a wind to feed that fire.

"I understand that a new game has been expected for a while. We haven’t said “Wild Arms is finished,” because we have no intention to quit. We want to bring it back in some way, eventually. If possible, I’d like to make an announcement at the next opportunity, so I hope you can be patient."

While this isn’t an official announcement, it definitely helps in keeping that fire going. Personally, I would absolutely love to see another Wild Arms on current generation consoles, and I’m quite sure I’m not the only one.

Never played the series, but I'd try it out.

That'd be awesome. I loved Wild Arms, and think it's opening animation to the first is one of the greatest openings to a video game of all time. If you're a fan at all of westerns (not western rpgs but like cowboys) and jrpgs then check it out.

Wild Arms 2 was the first one I played and the best one for me.

This and many other jrpg series are on my want list.

I am a huge fan of the first game, but didn't really like the other ones for some reason.

Yeah just make it like Xenoblade chronicles X but with cell shaded aspect, then i will be happy.
