The Order

Bloodborne

MLB The Show

Are there any other major ones.....?

Does XB1 have anything to combat this? Couldn't think of any..... PS4 should more a few more units on those release dates...

God knows I would be called out if I wasn't super specific so Ill do the same: MLB The Show is a multiplat. A Sony multiplat, but not technically an exclusive.

And Im just gonna put this out there: Listing the Madden of baseball games on the same ground as The Order and Bloodborne, basically a incremental upgrade over two unqiue games that can't easily be replicated, shouldn't be done. I don't see any argument listing MLB as credible because.....it's baseball. I mean, let's be real here.

What?  Stop trying to bend the rules of what an exclusive is,  it is period.  Also why does it being baseball have to do with anything?  An exclusive is an exclusive,  stop trying to cherry pick to suit an argument.  The Show is fantastic,  if it doesn't count then why do digital titles that sell even less,?  Posts like these make no sense.  It's an exclusive and adds to the libraries worth.  Nearly a million a year buy the show,  there only choice is ps4.

But you are saying an exclusive is a game on only one platform ? Then The Show wouldnt count ( but Fable, Screamride and Ori neither so it's better to not do that)

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

XB1 has Ori & blind forest, Screamride, Below

Not to troll, but none of those hold a candle to BloodBorne or The Order.

Well shit, youve played all five? Hot damn. How is Below? Looks awesome.

On a more serious note, not to troll, but lol @ holding The Order on any pedestal. Previews have looked nothing short of generic.

Also interesting to see other replies to fireburns post. I guess we have reached the point where indies dont count again. Quicker than i thought.

So you would say that No Man's Sky hold a candle to Halo ?

Essentially all he's saying is that The Order is going to suck, cause that's so goddamn original.

Yeah, Sony is flexing it's creative and investment development muscles.  They have a strong line up for 2015 that will hopefully set a precident for the PS4's future.  Keep it going...

The Show is irrelevant?  The order is set to flop? The order will be serving many crow . the show us the best sports game in the industry and to any baseball fan the ps4 is the only but numerous entries have sold over a million and it is a yearly exclusive.  Foolish post.  I know many people who hot a ps3 and ps4 for the show,  it is that good

that's wonderful that you know those people. there are very few of them because the franchise has never, ever, ever had a single million seller. extraordinary (and pathetic) for a sports franchise when baseball is as popular as it is in the us and worldwide... madden and nba titles suggest sports games can sell... mlb the show just doesn't. hmm. compared to madden, nba and other key sports franchises, mlb the show is absolutely irrelevant.

and about the order, i didn't say it was going to bomb commercially. i said critically. and mark my words, it will. metascore will be low seventies, possibly high sixties. it's going to be an absolute disaster. we'll see in a few weeks, right?

but thank you for calling my post foolish, that was a nice gesture on your part.

Pathetic!wut, if that's the barometer for pathetic

I better stop playing videogames in general

and so what if the order bombs critically or gets a metascore of 70 what's your point

lots of people are looking forward to it and it will be successful

your just coming across as bitter and resentful

You're being too narrow minded. It was possible that MLB 14: The Show exceeded 1 million sales. Nothing is confirmed for or against that and VGC's software tracking is very questionable. What can be confirmed is that first week sales were ~40% higher than that of MLB 13: The Show (http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/05/15/ps4-mlb-14-the-show-fastest-selling-in-franchise-history ). MLB 14 also had a staggered release; the PS4 version came out 1 month after the PS3 and Vita versions. Also, the PS4 was only out in the market for ~5 months. With a significantly higher userbase and a simultaneous release, MLB 15 should do better than its predecessor. Your claim that The Show is irrelevant just because it doesn't sell as much as Madden of NBA 2K is baseless. What makes you think that the franchise won't continue to grow larger? After all, MLB 2K is no longer around.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make when you say The Order is going to "bomb" critically. Also, low 70s isn't an absolute disaster. That is actually average. So, I guess the correct statement is "The Order is going to do average critically". Your hyperbole, however, is not the only issue. You are basing your conclusion on previews on a demo that was 1. running on an incredibly old build and 2. used over and over again. Ready At Dawn likely kept the vast majority of the game under wraps and I appreciate that. Too often, developers spoil too much which significantly diminishes my anticipation. The Order has gone gold, but we have seen very little footage of the game to this point. Who knows? It might be a pleasant surprise to many critics.

Put it this way. If you don't own a playstation console what are your options for a top quality baseball title releasing this year? It's not like it is releasing on pc too which would make it possible for nearly everyone to play then.
