I'm Shocked as so much people in 2014 have still predict PS3 above Wii... But now, 2015, you still think that PS3 will become the Best Seller home of last gen!?
Actually sales:
Wii > 100,000,000
PS3 < 85,000,000
Will PS3 beat the Wii? | |||
Yes, It will. | 94 | 23.86% | |
Nope, i don't think. | 142 | 36.04%
NO!!! Just no! 0% chance | 157 | 39.85%
Total: | 393 |

Maybe, it all hinges on secondary and tertiary markets if the PS3 can make inroads like the PS2. My guess is in coming years it will come close, but still be shy of 100 million and the Wii.
I'm gonna go with no. Aren't they like 20M apart? There's no way it sells that in the rest of it's life.
PS3 is still way too expensive. Get the price down to $149 and even $129 and it'll sell for years at an OK rate.
PS3 is selling slower and slower each year. It'd be a miracle if it just reaches 95 million, but its software sales are on course to beating Wii software sales

Exactly. I'd buy a PS3 if it wouldn't be so expensive as of now. The Wii and Xbox 360 are way cheaper.
Never believed it would, still don't. It's simply moving much too slowly, and what little boost it has gotten from developing markets at this point is what we're getting, the machine is almost ten years old.

PS4 should do it fairly easily. |
yup, same way ps4 outsold wii first year... it's not going to be a particularly long generation (wii suffered in the last two years, but did exceptionally well for the first 4) and tbh i don't think a dedicated console will ever do wii numbers again, let alone ps2 numbers.
