Forums - Sony Discussion - PlayStation Plus February games announced: Apotheon, Transistor and Rogue Legacy for PS4

Really good month! The Vita line-up is relatively weak, but PS3 and PS4 are excellent.

Are the Yakuza games direct sequels? I've never played any, unfortunately :(

Yes, and:

A. You should rectify that immediately.

B. The games always include an summary of the plot up to this point. "Previously, on Yakuza..."

Good month, I'll definitely play Transistor.

Thanks!

I'll try to track down 1 and 2, to get started. I know 2 is pretty rare, but maybe I'll get lucky.

Great month. I got Yakuza 3 awhile ago and now the 4th is free :)

all gamers or japanese fans: PLAY YAKUZA 4!

Amazing game, 10/10

That's one fantastic month! Apotheon was on the buy list. The art style intrigues me.

who will play Yakuza 4 thanks ps+ ?

this game has a amazing story, great and many different caracters and good gameplay. i play it over 90 hours ; )

Nice I had none of them and was interested in several. Hopefully I'll have the time.

Transistor+Yakuza 4. Brilliant, I am so there!

I always wanted to give Yakuza a try and now I will. It's this sort of thing that is really cunning about the "free" games, especially games that are part of a franchise. Make one of them free on the monthly giveaway, and if you can hook a few thousand noobs (like me) then you've a good chance of those people buying the back catalogue games, and also buying the next release and becoming long term fans of the franchise. And in the end that free game makes you extra money.

Though in other situations the free game loses you money. I was going to get Tomb Raider 2013 for PS4, but then PS3 version came to PSN+ so I went with that. Of course if RTR ever comes to PS4 I'll be in (assuming it's good) and it was the TR 2013 experience that makes me want to get RTR if and when it comes to PS4. Of course it's not enough to make me want to buy a Xb one.
