This looks incredible. And I'm loving the settings so far. I'm tired of JRPGs with volcano worlds and other completely unrealistic environments. This feels very fresh for a JRPG.

You're tired of fantasy games being fantasy?

What the hell is fantasy?

Looks stunning. I think they've done a great job of balancing the realistic and fantasy themes, both technically and artistically (though in these shots there's more of the former than latter)

I feel the need to mention though that i'm not entirely certain these screens are 1080p. Doesn't mean the final game won't be, and it could just be the strong DoF messing with my eyes, but it looks more like 900p. Obviously won't stop me buying and enjoying the game, but i thought i'd mention it ^^

Wow those complaints XD

Good thing Square doesn't listen to them or we'd get the same game every time.

This is pretty much EXACTLY what's wrong with the FF fanbase. If you ask them if they want FF6 or 7 rehashed every year they'd probably say yes.

I for one welcome new ideas, it's for me what has always seperated FF from DQ in that each iteration aims to be unique.

Looks pretty. I'll give them that. I am a bit concerned with the world design, very very big open spaces that could be boring to explore. However, can't say that for certain; there may be points of interest that aren't readily vissible from a distance as well as the fact you have to factor in running speed as well as the speed of the various other modes of transportation.

Preety but ugly at the same time.

God, it looks pretty. I am fine with it being set in modern times or futuristic and we have so much left to see, too quick to make judgement on "bland" environments.

The AXB combat system is superb. We finally get to enact Advent Children style action in a full on RPG

That's realism for you. I have been on countless road trips to see enough long 'bland' highway sceneries. What makes them great in real life? The fresh winds on your face, and the smell of grass and the trees. In a game like this? I don't know, but hopefully places like this are few.

ill try:

The graphics are awesome but at the same time they feel lifeless, empty.
