Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One lost another exclusive

Microsoft announced yesterday that the former Xbox One exclusive Fable Legends is coming to PC. Fable Legends is not the first First Party game coming to PC.

What do you think about it? Is it good or bad for Xbox that Microsoft is bringing first party games to PC? Do Xbox One need true exclusives or are console exclusives enough?

Xbox One do have exclusives but most of them (including Halo) could also be ported to PC.

its a weird situation.

When Microsoft wasnt supporting Windows games for PC properly then fans cried out at Microsoft for it and said its a bad move and bashed them

Now Microsoft starts adding games to PC and its still perceived as bad to people

I view Microsoft in the same light I do Nintendo sometimes. They're in a no win situation no matter what they do

I was REALLY hoping for Sunset Overdrive. Of well.

Surely it will come.

MS did say that Fable is just one of their games coming to PC. I wouldn't be surprised if they ported all of them (probably with a short delay on PC, like 3rd party exclusives do today).

I think it won't be alone. "Fable Legends is just the first of the major game franchises from Microsoft Studios coming to Windows 10 and we will have more to share in the coming months." xbox 1 at the moment has no reason to exist imho.

smart move. lets be honest, this game isnt gonna push many XB1's or any at all. so they should put it on PC and make more money off of software.

Well, it's good news for most people I would suppose. More people can buy it if they like it. I remember Fable as an okay game so I might give it a try for PC if it seems good. What is Fable Legends anyway? Fable 3?

I think that people just feel betrayed by the First party, if they release content for a dedicated gaming machine, to another plataform. They think that their commitment to that machine has been in vain, since they could have bought another First party machine, and played their library, which won't be coming to another plataform, while also enjoying Microsoft Games in their PC.

While I don't care much about this with Microsoft, since it's a Win/Win situation for them, since it's their own plataform they are supporting. It's like apple releasing a game console, but also suppporting gaming im Mac OS.

But if Nintendo goes the same route, I would feel that the Wii U commitment was useless.

I am also curious to see what comes next but they also announced cross-play which is amazing.
But this goes for the exclusive definition of console exclusive and that PC is a competing platform in terms of exclusives.

I'm expecting Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break to be announced for PC in the later half of this year.
