Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Wii U drought 2K15, who is to blame this year?

Never thought I'd see the day Vita didn't have the least software releases in the West.

I'm not to worried as it gives me more time to finish Captain Toad and pick up the stuff I missed last quarter like Bayonetta 2.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

revelations sold over half of the x360 version even with the huge difference in installed bases. revelations 2/RE HD were obvious choices to wii u, especially since they woouldn't be late 3ds ports releasing on a 2.5m base, like revelations.plus the history of nintendo fans buying RE games.

Well, we don't know the digital sales of Resident Evil Revelations HD on each system. Many gamers and game web sites perceived it mainly as a download title, even if there also was a retail version.

I think that people will have to accept the fact that the Wii U is a console with a few elites, very high quality games per year and not a console you will buy one (often disappointing) AAA game per month.

There are also some small scales project like Captain Toad, Splatoon and Kirby , the kind of 6/10 or 7/10 games that some people can enjoy if they like the style.

See, Revelations 2 is taking a much more zombie/the evil within approach with its design, unlike the aquatic monsters of the original Revelations game, which are totally different monsters. That, combined with the fact that ZombiU sold poorly because WiiU owners don't like zombies is why Revelations 2 is also skipping WiiU!

what you just said makes no sense at all. zombi u sold well and where did you take the "zombi argument".

But there are a bunch of games coming out soon...I don't understand.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

ZombiU should have sold three millions, but instead it almost reached just one million. Clearly WiiU owners aren't interested in zombie games.

"Should have" ?

Why?  If Ubisoft thought that their average project was going to sell three millions, they were seriously deluded.

Obviously one of the best WiiU games deserves, at least, three millions. Ubisoft knew that.

Ok game at best.

See, that's the kind of mentality that makes the WiiU have a drought in 2015.
