Ok... i know that this numbers are not official... BUT STILL!

3DS sistem-sellers (Pokemon ORAS, Smash 3DS, Youkai Watch...) were much more popular than the PS4 ones (GTAV, CoD AW, AC Unity)... and yet PS4 almost matched sales. Just imagine how PS4 sales will be if they release two or three system-sellers at once.

I dont think Pokemon, Smash and Youkai more famous than GTA, COD ( other than Japan).

Well, they sold wonderfully in Japan, the only place in the world where the PS4 is losing against other consoles in a weekly basis. Japan made the difference on sales, so I think it's important.

One word Japan

A popular handheld that is $200 cheaper with games that are $20-30 cheaper outsold the PS4. Is it really that surprising? The fact that the PS4 nearly sold as much as the 3DS is the scary part in my opinion.

'Christmas sales' aren't done in just one week though. It's not like last week's 800k PS4's or whatever aren't being used as christmas presents. 3DS may have won the week you're refering to, but overall, PS4 won the whole holiday season. Not really surprising, the PS4 is still 'new' item, while the original 3DS has seen it's peak. Hopefully the N3DS will significantly prolong the system's life.

Considering it's like, 300 dollars cheaper, I would sure HOPE it outsold the PS4. Also, handhelds and home consoles don't compete for sales.

And where 3DS outsold PS4 ? Just in Japan, where Consoles sell nothing compared to Nintendo portable.
Also you should compare Console VS Console, and Portable VS Portable, cause console and portable are two completely different markets. Also, if you really want to compare PS4 with 3DS, do it for Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec, not only for 2 cumulative weeks, which means nothing. And, for these only 2 cumulative Christmas weeks, PS4 still crushed 3DS in NA and Europe, but 3DS sold insane figures in Japan, and managed to slighty outsell PS4 in the Global.
