Forums - Gaming Discussion - Good news Nintendo

I was looking at the 12/27/14 usa chart and number 74 shocked the hell out of me.Ninja Gaiden for Wii U in the top 75 , most will write this off as nothing big but this is note worthy. This being a older mature game  is proof that the not so stereotype Nintendo  fans are buying  the console this holiday season and are buying 3rd party games. This is small but still a big deal for a Nintendo console , this game is not as predominantly out there like Bayoneta 2 its a two year old launch game . And not as popular as COD or Assassins Creed so its really odd to see on the charts , old games that are bigger titles pop up now and then but a game like this is weird especially for a 3rd party Nintendo game! Odd but proof of a new line of Wii u owners and thats good news for 3 rd parties  interested in making Wii U games.

Yeah prior to charts going up it was at 90k now vgc.has it a 120k seriously odd. AC IV deserves more sales too

I wonder what Team Ninja thinks.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

And if you look at the game database sale for wii u here on vgchartz... You can see a lot of game near the millions sales, gamesthat was not near that amount some weeks months ago... So its a good sign too that old wii u games are selling well

Also juzt thought maybe some bayonetta fans picked up a copy off ninja gaiden

I said that in the weekly thread yesterday already but never before has a game in the weekly charts screamed overtracked as much as this does. This is just the vgchartz algorithm or whatever arriving at a ridiculously high number because of a pretty substantial price cut that happened combined with christmas week, that's my guess.

The number is in no way realistic

30k damn thats a big boost !!! I wish the lower games on the chart showed the sales numbers. But with that number I wonder if any other mature 3rd party game received a similar boost.

Did it ever occur to you that it might be overtracked for the week?

That should tell you how utterly ridiculous this is. And if you want to sales numbers for lower games then just check here:

http://www.vgchartz.com/tools/game_comparison.php?reg=USA&ending=Weekly&game[]=Ninja+Gaiden+3%3A+Razor%27s+Edge+%28WiiU%29+[70797]&game[]=&game[]=&game[]=

The game went from selling 2(!!!) copies in one week in August to selling over 27k in the last week? That makes no sense at all, even with a sale.
