Forums - Movies & TV - Ant Man is going to bomb at the Box office ( Looks like total trash!)

if anyone has faith in Marvel's movies after Iron Man 3 then they are just delusional.... that had arguably the most lackluster / lame plot I have ever seen in a horror movie...

I'm not going to assume too much, because GoTG looked lame as hell to me at first and ended up being one of my favorite movies in years.

right, but at least Guardians had things going on that were interesting (arguably too comical) in their trailers, even the teaser

What I want to know is, " WHO'S ASKING FOR THESE MOVIES " ???

No like really. Who is responsible for these movies getting the green light.

I'm tired of these producers and directors making these trash movies just to make an easy buck.

Give the comic book fans some damn respect..... Please !!!!

You guys are watching the wrong preview, this one is much better:

Why did ioi take away video function again?

To answer your question, he didn't. YouTube took away legacy embed code support.

You can still help yourself by using this site: http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/files/YouTube_code.htm (just uncheck the YT link thingy)

Then paste the code into the HTML pop up window (click the HTML icon below "Paragraph")

Tagging for later

Ant man is one of the least interesting comic book characters in the marvel universe. Characters like Venom would of been better and he's more well known. Could do a saga of him fighting Carnage and some other villains but not have spider man in any of it.

I think Carnage is getting his own movie but that character is tied to Spider-man and Marvel Studios does not have the rights to the property at the moment when it comes to movies.  Same reason we aren't seeing the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Here is a quick reference of who currently has the rights to what:

Marvel movie rights

Trailer was boring and full of cliches.

"Oh you're different!" ORLY?

And it has the same old crappy attempts at humor as every other Marvel movie where everything just feels forced.

Unlike Guardians of the Galaxy, I wasn't a bit interested during the trailer for Ant-Man. I don't think it'll do well critically, obviously I might be wrong on that, but it'll still do well on the box office. Marvel has generated enough confidence in people that they will at least give what they produce a try.

I don't think there is enough of a look there in the one trailer for me to give an informed opinion on this one. Though, until Marvel actually puts out a movie I don't enjoy, I will continue to blindly go on opening night and check out their offerings.

You enjoyed all the Marvel movies so far?

People said Iron Man would flop, that Thor would flop, that Captain America would flop, that Avengers wouldn't make as much as expected and just a bit more than Iron Man 2, that Guardians would flop...

You people don't ever get tired of being consistently owned do you?
