Monster Hunter Tri only did 1.05m on the Wii.  I don't know why you think over 850k is realistic for one on the Wii U.  That would be more than any Wii U game that hasn't seen heavy bundling so far.

It did 220k, that is pretty far from 300k.

I'm also not sure why anyone thinks a console Monster Hunter is going to be some sort of savior.  On the Wii Tri provided only 3 weeks of elevated sales.  Monster Hunter also seems to be on the downswing in Japan.  4 sold less than MHP2G and MHP3, and 4 Ultimate is looking to sell a lot less than 4.

Uhm, what. Again, MH U did ~220k right. DQ, MGS, Persona, Bloodborne, FF and more can top that individually.

But I'm not sure why anyone still thinks Monster Hunter on a home console is any kind of gamechanger.

Nah I actually believe nintendo will try to do something next holiday because having just zelda is going to make 2016 jap holiday terrible(unless they bundle mario maker and splatoon fr a great price(then it could do holiday 2013 numbers)

I think it's much more likely they'd do something to boost 3DS sales. Especially if we are talking 2016 holiday here...

Not really. It has been outsold this week because GTAV just came out.

Yup. About 4x. It just means that the PS4 came out with something that the people want. Had Smash not been on the 3DS, it likely would have done the same if not better on the Wii U, but I think Japan has really shown a bit of cannibalization but with good reason as shown by the 3DS sales of the game. 



Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Actually only in Japan. Everywhere else it actually sells because of games and in a few months some of the biggest promises are fulfilled while it still has no big seller in Japan. Don't really think DQH will do too much for the PS4 there.

Somewhat.  I'd prefer if people in general on this forum took a bit more time to research before throwing numbers into a post.  I shouldn't be the one digging through Media Create top 1000s and searching for announcements of 300k in order to prove your post right or wrong.
