Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire - With combined sales exceeding 120,000 units in the first week, this figure smashes the previous local record set by Pokémon X & Y just a year ago, which shifted over 100,000 units.

In the same week of the release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X & Y have also become the highest selling Pokémon games in Australia and New Zealand, taking the record from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl which was released on the DS in 2007, and has sold over 330,000 units to date.

I'll totally jump in on this Under-tracked Train if that means there's a chance OR/AS will outsell X/Y.

We'll see, japan XY >>> ORAS at the same time. ORAS started much faster than XY in the US, but it also had BF.

and i believe only 700k 3DS sold in AU and NZ ? ( heard this on the Australian direct which they showed the new 3DS) and probably more now

Wow.. That's pretty good for such small markets!

Not surprising to me. XY didnt even get a midnight launch here, ORAS had a country wide midnight launch at many EB Games stores. At my store the launch was a bigger success then Destiny's, and dont forget it launching alongside the New 3DS
