Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Pictures Hack Threat Elevates to National Security Threat Against MovieGoers

2 seems likely to me too, the grammar errors are a bit weird in some of the threats.

1 would be impossible surely... its gone too far.

1 Unfortunately I haven't really been following it at all to know how far it's reached.

2 Yeah, it's my strongest bet. However, surely the FBI would have found the person by now. Right? They can't honestly believe that this was North Korea. If they did, they wouldn't have said anything about NK. Furthermore, it wouldn't be the FBI on the case, it would be homeland security and CIA. And that's really the only reason why option 1 is still open...because it doesn't seem like anything is being done.

North Korea is crazy. I hope we can see the Koreas reunite in our lifetime, South winning of course.

That seems like a terrible thing to wish on South Korea.

Or, it could really be an attempt at keeping people from seeing what really happens in North Korea.  I mean, in all of this, no one seems to be mentioning the fact that the people there are oppressed.  I think that its a shame really.   There are folks who really believe that they are Gods and that the people should serve them in filth and poverty.   They use weapons, fear tatics and media propoganda to keep a population of people in servitude while reaping the benifits of wealth and power.   The reaction to this movie, the hacks, death threats and release of personal information is horrible, but it doesn't compare to what North Koreans have endured for generations now.

You said you "get" why "some" could do that.

This has nothing to do with the company and everything to do with shitty leaders like Kim Jong-un and his ilk. North-Korea's issues have been completely ignored for too long imo. They need an intervention. Also, I'm calm as a feather.

It makes sense when you consider that whenever Kowen's post contain Sony in comparison to something else, he is required to spin them negatively. What you have here is one of those rare case where denouncing Sony would mean praising North Korea. Thus you get this cognitive dissonance where he simultaneous insults North Korea and supports there actions at the same time. Suggesting that there plight is understandable, since its Sony, the great evil of the world, being attacked.

Lastly, he includes the Red Herring, a true but slightly off topic fact, since the topic isn't about Sony Pictures being sued but rather The threat elevating to national security level as GOP is threating a terrorist attack, in order to seem more authoritative while also denouncing Sony as well.

It's pretty obvious.

or not.

Actually it is.  I've joined this site over four years ago which I've mainly lurked since the birth of my child.  At mostly every opportunity, you have condoned Microsoft while trying to denounce Sony most anyway you can.  And this most recent events of hacks is another opportunity for you to denounce Sony.  It's that simple and that obviously.  Say what you want, and try to fool who you want, but this is you.  If not, just prove otherwise by conducting differently from now on.  Just saying.

If done correctly, it could go smoothly. After NK regime collapses hopefully.

I have to wonder whether the hackers aren't some third party who are just trolling. They're making the posing as North Korea a bit too on the nose.

and N. Korea would be loving it so prob won't deny. (if it wasn't them)

N. Korea did deny, though.

How on earth does Team America, a far more vulgar and provocative movie get a pass but Korea threatens for war over this? Ridiculous. I wish we knew the transparent truth as to what's really going on/why.
