I don't think you understand what practically or dead mean.

I think this thread was made in order to make people forget about the NPD results.

The early demise of the original X-Box was mostly NVIDA's fault but in the long run NVIDA was the big looser I don't think there will be another home cosole that will use NVIDIA parts.

;{ what did they do jack up component prices r wat?

Is this why nvidia has a vendetta on consoles?

And why PS4 and XB1 chose AMD

Not sure what NVIDIA did to the Original Xbox but for the PS4 and X1, I believe NVIDIA's price was just too high compared to AMD.

PS4 is pratically dead outside Earth.

Very good point and I think this should be put under some intense consideration.

NVIDIA wouldn't give MS a price cut on their parts even though they got a lot cheaper over time that is what ended their relationship and what lead to the end of production of the original X-Box since NVIDIA stopped production of the GPU for it in August of 2005.

Not exactly "dead", just not as successful. In the rest of north america, i.e canada and mexico, the xbox one has also been selling just as much as ps4 and beat it a few times in the last few months, despite there not being a price cut (just taking the NA numbers and substracting the US weekly). Here in canada, xbox is pretty big. Aaron greenberg also recently tweeted that xbox had been number 1 in many markets in november besides us and uk ( canada was probably included but im not sure) so it has to be doing great in other places too.

And it will only get worse.

*Does anyone know how many markets PS4 and Xbox One are available in?

I know that currently the Xbox One is availible in China and the PS4 is not.

I expect the PS4's US/UK percentage will decrease even more as time goes on.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

well UK and USA will follow in the next few month, so that's that.
