Forums - Sales Discussion - Media Create/Famitsu Smash Bros week (ending Dec 7th)

I have predict 30,000 Wii U this week... 24K to 27K, almost close after all... for next week expect a +100% 3DS, +50% Wii U, +150% PS4, and +40% Vita.

Weird 50k (!) difference on 3DS hardware.

Smash is... meh. Expected more. WiiU boost is decent compared to what it was.

Also there has to be some kind of mistake with the 3DS hardware tracking of one of the 2 trackers, the difference is massive (~50k)

You think that's bad? The PSP tracking is about 1000% off.

PS4 vs Wii U vs Xbox One

What a fierce battle!, the Wii U claimed victory this day, and prevented the PS4 from getting an advantage. Meanwhile the Xbox One fights will all of it's might! I can see it reaching 1000 units in the coming weeks. The battle keeps getting interesting folks!

Who is going to win Japan?!?!?!

Can Nintendo meet their forecast of 12 million 3DS shipped this fiscal year?

I wouldn't call that a flop for Smash. Disappointing, but look at the sales in NA. Japan has a smaller install base and home console games have been in the toilet for a while.

Usually MC is more correct than Famitsu... let's say 130K for 3DS.

Clearly out of reach at this point. They must be around halfway of it and there's little time before Xmas.

I wonder if Japan was also affected by a shortage of GC adapters.

8 player smash really seems to be the big draw. It really isn't publicized well that you do 8 player smash without the GC adapter as long as you have a couple 3DS's with Smash 3DS -- which wouldn't be a problem in Japan :D

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

It seems to me that discrepancies between the two trackers keep getting wider each week. Bith with software and hardware.
