Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire: over 7.7 million units shipped worldwide

The Pokémon Company has just announced that shipments for Pokémon OR/AS are now over 7.7 million worldwide. This obviously includes Europe, where sales were pretty strong: +135% compared to Pokémon X and Y... those pre-orders numbers weren't just for show, then. Makes sense since OR/AS is the best launch ever for a Pokémon game in the UK.

So looks like Europe was a really strong territory for the game.

Of course, The Pokémon Company expects really strong sales during the Christmas holidays... and unlike Japan, no Youkai Watch to worry about in EU and NA.

Well then...Anyone have some comparisons at this point?

Well 2 weeks and japan has 1.8mil+ and NoA probably about 1.4mil-1.6mil with Australia (we got 3.04mil #). Add Europe sold probably about 750k and we got 4.5mil-5mil Sold so far(including digital). Yeap i think 2.7mil-3.0mil sitting on store shelves makes sense

just waiting for another one of those apple fanboy articles about how pokémon is too successful for nintendo to realize they are doomed..
