Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo composes the best music

I liked PS1 era music a lot. Mostly N64 and PS1.

Lately music for me just sounds flat, in all situations. Whether it be pop, classic, video game, everything just sounds boring to me.

I prefer Square Enix in that department

SQEX>>>Everyone else imo.
Also MGS, TLoU, Persona all have amazing OSTs... and more Im too lazy to think of.

False, I can think of many that write better music

Music in that game, both for Wii and GBA, are by written and composed by TNX with some stages done by Masami Yone, not Nintendo.
The night walk stage you embedded is entirely by TNX.

Most of my favourite soundtracks are Nintendo games I suppose; Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade...

I agree.. Nintendo is easily the best in that department! I could stay listing great Nitendo tunes, but I would probably die listing them all..

I like Nintendo's soundtracks, but to me, Nihon Falcom has the upper hand on the soundtracks.

They don't just pull this together on games. Their System Menu themes are top-notch, too.
