It better because I have an avatar bet depending on it.

Well, that wasn't a good bet, lol.

Who knows...  Doesn't the Wii U have Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash brothers this year?  Maybe those two are enough.  I mean, I know lots of people are interested in the new smash game.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, not going to happren. Maybe close to October or November 2015.

I think it'll be closer to this.

Well thats just ridiculous...

If it sells an average of 100k a week the rest of this year and  50k a week next year, then it'll take until November.

Yeah, thats not going to happen. Not with Smash and MK8 out.

Not likely.

Mario Kart 8 released in May 30th.  It was only above 100k that one week and it took three weeks to drop to 60k.  For six weeks it was ~60k or below, and on the seventh week August 23rd, dropped far below, one week was at 50k, until just recently, November first.

Smash Bros will increase sales for a few weeks like MK8 did, then it'll die again and sell 40k on a regular basis until Nintendo releases something else.  Thing is, until Zelda or Xenoblade Chronicles X comes out there's nothing they can release that's big enough to really push console sales.

Hmmmm maybe SSB can give it a fighting chance? Even then it'll fall short imo.

I'm still of the opinion that a $249 Mario Maker bundle next spring could work wonders for WiiU's image and do very well in all regions.

Not gonna happen. Their numbers in October are down from 2013's numbers and to even MATCH last years numbers in 2013, they need to sell over 330k combined for week ending Nov 22nd and 29th  to even be on PACE for last years numbers they did

Then if they want sell 10m by year end ,they need to sell over 1 million more than last year. Last December they moved 1 million Wii U's for the month. They'd have to move 2 million in December to hit the 10m mark

It's down in October? Based on what?

Based off actual sales figures. Go add up the totals for 2014's numbers vs 2013's October numbers

2013: 172k

2014: 165k

It's a decrease from last years numbers

in November 2014 Wii U sold 538k. This year SO FAR,  Wii U has moved 208k.

Wii U for Nov 22nd and Nov 29th would have to move 330k units JUST to keep even with November 2013 numbers

I just added up the individual weeks here on this site and it's 2013-179k, 2014-182k for october.
