Why are you guys surprised at the IGN review? They basically give all the AAA Nintendo games very high scores (sometimes I think they're scared to piss of the fans, that or Nintendo pays them :D). Sometimes they troll us with a bad review (bad as in below average score), but that happens infrequently.

MyKirby Game got a damn 6.0!!!! WTF Jose, WTF!!!

Its fun, but his con was "TOO MUCH WA... TOO EASY" Its like wat happened to the other kirby games??? Also on a podcast before the game was even announced, Jose and Brian said they dont like kirby and wish Nintendo stop making them :'-(

I also wish Nintendo stopped making Kirby tbf. :p

2 Kirby games in one year time span yet no Metroid or Paper Mario? Lame. We have an overabundance of 2D games on the Wii U anyway. Keep those for the 3DS please (except Yoshi's Woolly World, I'm hyped for that!).

And DK: TF is probably one of my favorite Wii U games, so it's not like I hate 2D gaming lol.

Did IGN 9.8 made the meta back to 94?

Maybe cause kirby games are much easier to make than the ones you mentioned.

Cant blame Kirby for no other games made. Beside the games are wildly different. Triple Deluxe is the traditional, while Rainbow Curse is the sequel to a 9 year old game. You kno like that paper mario you just listed (not a mario game, its in the paper mario franchise, which is nothing compared to traditional platformers

Yoshi Wolly World looks good, so many high quality games for wiiu which is unappreciated. Splatoon+Yoshi+XCX+Captain toad all look like 90+ (at least 85+) games (i need to see more of kirby, not looking as good as others but then again not to much shown yet).

DK was a travesty, as its a 90+ game that got shanked because a gorilla wasnt a hot blond in a mech suit :0

No, because it's not in the meta yet.

Her spaceship was in it though. :p

For some reason I don't think the critics will be too kind with Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. I also think they're going to tear up Yoshi's Woolly World because it's a 2D game. It looks like it's improving on everything that Kirby's Epic Yarn did (and that game got 86% on metacritic. But this gen they haven't been kind to 2D games (LBP3 for example).

Only 22 reviews on the day of release? Isn't that very few? Especially since the embargo ended the 19th. Wtf are the "professional" gaming journalists doing? Sonic Boom barely got any reviews as well, the same goes for the Pokémon remakes.

First of all, I would like to say that pretty much all HAL does is make Kirby games...they aren't taking the place of Metroid or anything else.

Anyways, the low review number is likely because a lot of reviewers were waiting for online play before giving a score (and meta is a few scores behind) and I think most EU sites wont review the game until closer to the PAL release...

Is there a law against HAL making a different kind of game then? They are taking the place of potentially better games... With more ambition... Maybe in 3D for once... It's 2014 after all.

just got my copy.... played some online match,... is it me, or its very very very laggy???...

Kirby has practically the most recognizable spin off titles after mario, i think those are ambitious
