Nope, you haven't, console gamers aren't that bad yet, you're still in peasant territory anyway with games topping out at an ugly low-resolution of 1080P, but... You get what you pay for.

I am sure you felt you were onto something when you asked this question...

Well, Infamous SS. 1080p. Now you will say its not as "open world" as this game. But its an open world game none the less.

Next up, GTAV is also going to be 1080p on the PS4.

And most importantly, the witcher 3 runs at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on XB1.

I have aso always been saying this, its just not possible that both versions of the game runs at 900p without some sort of limitation or concession for at least one of them. Its not like we are talking about identical hardware here.

Having said that, what you really should have considered is that besides infamous and GTA te only other company that has made open world games is Ubisoft. Its pretty telling that for some reason none of their games hit that 1080p mark. I think that should tell you a lot about their design ethos. Ubisoft would have you believe that this is the best possible they can achieve on these consoles, that is just not true. 

Honestly, I don't care about the 900p. I know the game running at 900p isn't responsible for how bad these screen look like. What I care about is how ubisoft constantly half assess everything cause they know they would sell just fine regardless. That is why I am not giving them my money anymore. 

first of all i have black flag and no  wy black flag looks better then that. Secondly , do you know for certain how is the build shown in the picure?. I don't se anythign wrong with it. its not bad and there are very nice looking 900p games that look very sharp. heck if gamers couldn't tell KZ multiuplayer then reolution of whether 900 and 1080p resolution debate is mute

The world of infamous is smalle compaerd to Ac Purity plus the amount of npc in an rea in infamous is tiy. At times it feels lifeless. i played game an dfinished being good. In terms of TLOU. it look slightly better then the ps3 version. graphics is not really next gen and the worl is small compared to AC and teh number of AI is tiny therefore its easier to hit 0180p. 

Dead Rising 1 on 360 looks better than the first screen Ethomaz showed.

fair  enough but both consoles are not built to be 1080p without having tradeoffs. I rather have 900p game , with a higher graphci fidelity, beter A I more partical effects, more AI  stable 30fps with no drops of screen tearing  then a 1080p with graphical sacrifice and fluctuating frame rae , especially with some that try to reach 60fps.  Just because we have 4k , doesn't necessarily mean everything else has to be 1080p. if it was more powerful then what we have then yes 1080 should be for all games but if the consoles are not strong enough then 900p is fine. difference between that from what i hav e seen is small..

dane007 why are you talking about TLOU ? I talked about Shadow Of Mordor. What will be your excuse for PS4 GTA V's 1080p ?

AC Unity looks ugly that's all. Even a cross gen game like Shadow Of Mordor destroyed it. And we all  know GTA V world is bigger than any AC's world.

you do realize that the engine used for GTA V, witcher 3  and infamous are completely different. Just because they engine for the game can run 1080p doesn't mean the other can as well.   i agree is not hee best tehy can achieve but the best that can achieve currently with what they have. as time improves , they can make changes to the engien making it better and as tiem goes by , they will find new tricks to make the game veen better. the ppics so far don't look bad at all. what happen to the day when it was all about having fun with the game you have lol. seems like the good days of gaming has disappeared and now turned ti which games 1 or few  hundreds pixels more then the other. 

do you know how big the world is for ac ? Cause  you  mentioned it as games on ps4 with 1080p resolution. forgot th person name who posted that post. same thign with gta. Its just a remastered edition of the last gen port . probably it will look liek p which won't look much different, plus its two different engine and the number of ai in gta V is small. Plyed it on the 360 and it wasn't that may people at one time. 

shadow mordor looks good but i find AC better looking.  Plus do you kwn hold old is the build shown on these pics?
