In an interview at the GameStart gaming convention last week with Bloodborne Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa, we asked him what the target resolution and frame-rate was for the upcoming action-RPG. Yamagiwa noted that while they “haven’t made an official announcement yet but they will probably go for 30fps since that’s what they found to be the best fps (frames-per-second) to play action games.”

Yamagiwa added that 'from the beginning, they weren't targeting 60FPS, because it's not a first person shooter, it's an action game.

lol OMFG... well someone loves to take a page out of Ubistools book don't they? LOL. 60 fps is better for action games.. these developers... sigh. 60 fps is better in every case lol.

Didn't matter for Demons Souls, didn't matter for Dark Souls (well, apart from Blighttown!) and didn't matter for Dark Souls 2. 30FPS is more than fine provided its stable.

it is better for third person action games. stable and not disorienting.

Edit: I'm no tech guy, but isn't 60fps better than 30fps in all cases when (BOTH ARE STABLE).

Not surprised the game is at 30fps, and it certainly didn't stop the other games being greatly received by critics, but the excuses devs are coming out with are strange

A solid 30 fps will be a big improvement compared to previous games

This is FROM, you're going to be lucky to even get 30 FPS locked.

I'm more just annoyed with the bullshit excuse. Bayonetta 2 just came out for fuck's sake, and Dark Souls 1 and 2 were 60FPS on PC and played just fine.
