PSOne, wich i still have and for wich i still have alot of games. It was the best time to play videogames, aside from lack of localisations in europe.

Tomb Raider, Resident evil, silent hill, metal gear solid, Final fantasy, Xenogears, Grandia, Wild arms, Suikoden, Chrono cross, Gran turismo, etc. I could literally keep on going for quite a while. Alot of the long running series we see today had their start on the PSone or were made widely popular by. Back then, good and unexpected games showered all the time. There was never a lack of something new to play and the huge variety of genres was refreshing.

The games industry has never been the same since then. It has been devolving ever since. Now we got few and overhyped games in a limited array of genres and color palletes. Its depressing.

1. PS1 - without a doubt, it let me in to a whole new world of pure epicness (GT, FF, Crash, Spyro, Tekken 3, Tony Hawk, TR, RE, MGS, etc.)

2. N64 - high on my list because of Nintendo EAD and Rareware

3. PS3 - really slow start and X360 gamepad bested the DS3 imo but then this happened

4. X360 - topped PS3 for me for a long time (better controller, Gears of War, indies) but then PS3 got some of my all-time fav games and nearly all the good indie games

5. PS2 - I lived in Africa in the PS2 years :( played and loved the GTAs, the NFS Undergrounds, etc. on PC later on though :)

Wonder where/if PS4, Wii U and XB1 will end up on my list :)

It would be either the PlayStation 2 or the Super Nintendo Entertainment System for me.

Snes, greatest games of all time were made for it, and the library was INSANE!

PS3 or N64, I guess I will go with the PS3, way to many great games, loving my PS4 ask me a year later and maybe that will be my favorite console until then.
(Since it perhaps will be the last gen, horrific thought it might could be my favorite console ever)

PS1 was definitely my favorite console in the past; games like the Crash Bandicoot series, Spyro the Dragon series, Twisted Metal 1 and 2, Parappa the Rapper, Um Jammer Lammy, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, etc.

Gotta be N64 for me.
The countless days and nights spend playing Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Mario kart 64, Mario party, Diddy Kong Racing, Wave Race, Banjo kazooie, Ocarina of Time were the golden years of gaming for me.

The desert track from Sega Rally with the Celica is still my favourite driving experience ever. 2 player Virtua Cop 2 and House Of The Dead by yourself is really fun as well.
