It is near the end of the end....
I would get it (since the PS4 i use is my sisters) if:
1. Lower price.
2. Isn't digital only.

The MCU has the BD hardware/wiring. Sony wouldn't increase the cost by adding Blu-Ray hardware if this was a digital only model.

At least 30 and don't forget GDDR5 costs have lowered considerably since 2013. It had an uptick for a while with one major manufacturing plant catching on fire but is back to lowering again.

I strongly doubt Sony will cut the price until holidays 2015. It's not like MS is cutting Xbone price anytime soon too, they already did it three times in the console's first year.
Sony has zero reason to do a price drop right now.
