Forums - Sony Discussion - Littlebigplanet 3: Likely the highest rated new game that Sony is going to put out this year, why is interest so low?

I love LBP but this game doesn't really excite me. The minute I saw it I knew it wasn't made by MM.

Not to say it will be bad, but it doesn't have any to really reignite my interest outside of being available for PS4. Even then it looks like a ps3 game.

The thing  about this franchise is that it doesn't really need sequel, 1 per gen would cool. 2 was unnecessary in my opinion and being cross gen doesn't do this game any favours from my perspective.

LOL. This game is a huge leap over what MM did.

The PS5 Exists.

I had gotten slightly tired of LBP after the Vita version since the formula is always so similar.

With that said, the more I see of this game the more I want it. I just can't resist that LBP charm, and I know it'll be a long-term investment for me (i'll probably spend another 20+ hours making a level that turns out like crap like I do every game).

Will definitely be the first thing I pick up for PS4.

because of LBP2 which did allot of things (go on youtube) making a LBP3 pointless, unless it's a huge leap forward.

with all these official threads, and the biggest ip coming out next yr. LBP3 will just get buried under all the other content.

LBP3 really is the swansong of the 7th gen., and the PS3 era.

Eh, Sony just isn't hyping the game up. They did the same thing with Karting and the Vita game. It will probably sell decently, but not as good as past games.

The lack of hype by Sony isn't the only reason that LBP3 won't do so well as the PS3 games.   I believe people are tired of the franchise gameplay really.

Tearaway should have been a PS4 title instead of a Vita one.

Tearaway will come to be ps4 too

It's good that Sony acknoledged their mistake.   Put an extremely talented developer to make a game for a system that is pretty much dead instead of letting them concentrate efforts in the one which is their future, a bad management decision.

I am still very greatful for every great game I get to play on the vita, and would have been dispointed if I didn't get to play tearaway on it, best use of the reartouchpad, in adition to many other great little things that the vita has

The game is not that popular. The second one didn't sell that well and I don't expect this one to sell well either.

In what universe is 3.2m for a 2D platformer "not selling that well".

I fully expect VGC overtracking for it, but it's still a multi-million seller which not a great deal of Sony's franchises can say they are.

Maybe because it's also on ps3 and it will basically be the same game?

Oops, you're right. I mixed up its numbers with LBP Karting. In that case, the game is successful.

I think it might be because its cross gen. But yeah this game could be GoTY!
