I totally think Nintendo should launch a bundle with this game. It could sway quite a few non-Nintendo gamers into getting the console.

I'm sure the game is great but I'm definitely not going to trust Gamespot's word on that.

If not, there's a high chance we'll buck that trend this year.

Funny how different opinions can be.... IMO GTA4, MGS4, and Tony Hawk are the only ones the list that DON'T deserve that title.  I haven't played Bayo 2 yet, so I can judge it.  Have you?

While Bayonetta 2 seems to deserve being a GOTY contender, the OP sounds incredibly fanboy-ish to me. You say LBP3 offers nothing interesting (and "copies Sonic characters" lol) and the game's not even out. I'm not even sure if you've played the other two. Then you call Far Cry 4 a "yearly" sequel, when FC3 came out in 2012... Oh well, I digress.

And weren't a lot of people on this same forum saying that Gamespot is unreliable...? Why is everyone celebrating the fact that "unreliable" guys gave Bayo 2 a 10...? Double standards, people...

gamespot just gave a perfect score to a game on a Nintendo platform!! and not only that, it is an exclusive 3rd party IP, the kind of ones which are usually spin-offs for testing the waters, low-budget, rushed, un-inspired, of course this it is an extremely rare case where a Nintendo platform actually gets a proper polished, high-budget 3rd party sequel

Bayonetta 2 must be a really, really great game that not even anti-Nintendo gamespot could resist, cannot be explained otherwise!! unless they started to really feel sorry for Ninty and the WiiU, maybe they even regret for bashing the Wii way too much the last 7 years :S

judging from the reviews, it seems to be working quality wise, I hope it gets the success it deserves and it looks like an out of nowhere buy for me :D

At the moment, Bayonetta 2 is the closest game to getting GOTY.
The only other game that i can think of is Dark Souls 2.
As for other games such as Far Cry 4, COD, SSBU, LBP3, and Dragon Age. We'll have to wait for their reviews.
Funny how the most games that were advertised aren't close to being contenders. (Destiny and Watch Dogs)
