Despite the so-so reviews, DC is doing quite well. I hope it will have strong & long legs.

I really wouldn't say it's doing well. It did somewhere around 35K, which is (in an inevitable comparison) much lower that 50K by FH2 in its opening week.

30% worse sales on a console with about 50% larger install base is mediocre to poor in my book.

I think the game could go either way at this point, depending on how quick the demo version is released and how it is received.  If they get the demo out soon, then upgrading to the full version will still be cheaper than retail and that should hopefully give the game a boost.

It's both a problem with servers (Sony side) but obviously and especially the bad network coder they wrote for DC that the launch of DC was so terrible and that still not everyone can't enjoy the game, let alone the free version of DC.

Except you can enjoy the game just fine as it all works perfectly fine Single player wise.

But hopefully they can get teh MP working more consistantly soon.

I didn't say otherwise but it's clear that this game was especially made as a "social" racer, this being the main part of the game. Racing with and against others and this was missing from the start and this is still going to be fixed.

Aren't those numbers combined though? DC is btw a new IP. The numbers aren't great I recon, but they are better than I expected honestly.

I was just comparing XOne numbers, and ignored X360 sales.

Of course, I doubt anyone expected DC to do better, so its sales could still be called satisfactory. Probably a lot of digital sales because of the last minute price drop for PS+ members. But after middling reviews and an online catastrophe, the game will be way out of Top 10 next week.

Was just about to write the same. I thought the main selling point of the game were Clubs and social/online interaction.

I doubt many users can be satisfied by driving alone all the time.

Seeing how Colonial Marines did, I can see Alien: Isolation being in this chart for a loooooong time.

Maybe but the game does have a massive Single player campaign to play through, i guess more annoying for americans who have had the game nearly a week now, less so for us in the UK that have only had it over the weekend.

Considering there was a free comprehensive demo that should deviate some sales first week, discounted digital version that should take some of the retail sales and not flatering reviews on a new IP it is acceptable position to launch in as single format.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Smash should be down to 15K already. Will it drop as fast as Fantasy Life and Hyrule?

Meh start for Driveclub, good for Isolation, depending on FIFA numbers this week...

Amazing performance for the PS4 as usual. DriveClub sales look good, now for the numbers.

There is still no free demo for it.
