These games will not push the system. The only game that has a chance of helping ps3 sell is Final Fantasy XIII next year. None of these other games have the appeal to sale a $600 game machine. PS3 will not sell great this year at all, I predicted 11m by end of year. With that I am being very generous.

Ok, to reply to myself I went and searched, and I was right LBP is and has always been slated for 2008 with the PSN demo coming this holiday season. Dolla Dolla got my heartrate up big time.

All Sony has announced for LBP is to confirm it is coming in 2008, but there are retailers who recently had LBP SKU show up in their systems with a release date of February 2008. That would be what, LBP and MGS for the first quater of 2008!? Gonna go broke! 

Of course it will increase sales. When a big game is released, it always increases sales. Notice the trend, gears of war, oblivion, or any type of game that has high hype and usually is garnered to a wide audience will almost always will be bound to sell alot. Lair will do so, but ninja gaiden won't. If you look at past records, star wars rogue squadron 2 sold 1.88 million. It isn't like lair will not sell great either. Ninja gaiden will do okay, possibly 500,000. But people are forgetting that hot shot golf 5 is coming out this year too, and will probably at least for one week increase ps3 sales to 50,000 to possibly 200,000.

you're right with factor 5. It's one of the best independant devlopper currently, they made something with Rogue Leader on the GC that many devellopper havn't made in the console lifetime. The game sell well and easly boost GC sales, but because it was one of five game of the launch. If Lair was a launch title, he may have gave an greater boost to the PS3 than he may have this summer. Don'y forgot that Lair is not the only game this summer, Ther is Mario Striker Charged planned for the Wii in july and with the success of the first one on the GC, this game only may give a good concurrence to the other games.

 look up sales of hot shots golf or Everybody's golf as it's known in Japan and then compare console sales for the comparable week. From what I can tell console sales were actually below average those weeks. Despite the game selling well it doesn't seem the type to actually sell the system.  And remember Rogue Squadron is sci-fi, and more importantly Star Wars, Factor 5 is mixing fantasy with flying dragons in a new IP I just don't see it performing well.

Remember Panzer Dragoon Orta really didn't help sell the X-box in the Japanese market, and that was a Japanese company making a sequal to an established franchise, I don't Lair changing that pattern. 

I've noticed that a few people are still hanging onto this belief that MGS4 is in fact delayed. You should wait and hear it from the horse's mouth (Konami). I mean, Gamestop is also saying that Killzone 2 will be released on November 01 and February 01, 2008.

Well ,Ninja Gaiden Sigma is for the japs almost a new game as so few of themo purchased the Xbox original (let alone the Black Edition of course ) so it should prove popular there .Lair I have doubts it will be released in Japan ,at least at the same time as in occident .Speaking of Occident ,NGS is a port of a 3 year old game and as beautiful as it looks it shouldnt do too well and wont sell consoles ....but Lair should prove big in Occident ...
